Def Poetry

Def Poetry began as a lyricist in underground hip-hop scenes, performing at open mics and cyphers. What started as raw verses evolved into a deep exploration of sound—learning production, studying the masters, and developing a signature style that blends boom-bap fundamentals with modern trap elements.

As a producer, Def Poetry has crafted beats for emerging artists and established names alike, accumulating over 50 million streams across platforms. Each beat tells a story, designed to inspire flows and evoke emotion.

Beyond music, poetry remains the foundation—spoken word performances, published collections, and a belief that words, when wielded with intention, can change perspectives. Def Poetry Beats is the culmination of this journey: a space where artists can access premium sounds and creative services to bring their vision to life.
